If you were to ask me how long I’ve been singing, I’d tell you my entire life. My parents are both musically inclined—my mother a music teacher and choir director, and my father a ragtime pianist—so music has always been in my bones. I started singing and performing professionally when I was twelve years old and by fifteen, I was signed to a local record company in Florida making multiple trips to Nashville to record original music and perform during CMA Fest. It was during these trips that I first learned about my future alma mater, Belmont University.

Unfortunately, the record company went under after just two short years, and I realized Belmont would be my ticket back to Nashville. I graduated with a Bachelors of Music, emphasizing vocal performance, and while I was there, I met incredible people who pushed me beyond my comfort zone and sparked my creativity. I discovered a real passion for writing, creating, and studio work, which took me to my first job after graduating, writing songs for a vanity recording company.

It would be a year and a half before I performed on stage again. These stages were now in East Tennessee at Dollywood, where I stayed for three and a half years. I performed in multiple shows throughout the park, and in my spare time, had gigs with prominent local bands and duos. When I moved back to Florida in 2018, I co-founded the piano duo, The Big Bad and for the next six years, we traveled all over Florida as well as toured through WI, MI, OH and TN as an all-request piano duo.

Now, the duo has come to an end, and I’m starting fresh. It’s entirely scary but truly exciting. It’s a moment to take time, be inspired and stretch my creativity and see where things may lead…
